[S3E7] Hitting The Ground
Claudine asks Sookie to promise not to give her light to the darkness. In the background one of the other people in Sookie's "dream" says in a frightened voice, "I've never seen a vampire before." Back in the waking world, Bill convinces Jason to let him heal Sookie with his blood, obviously against Tara's better judgment. Sookie later wakes up to Bill and screams, her last conscious memory being that of Bill attacking her.

At the hospital, Walt comes to Jesse's hospital room to find Saul, eager to get Jesse off on grounds of police brutality. When Walt asks what Jesse plans to do next, Jesse says he will set about to destroy Hank's life. Further, Jesse plans to start cooking on his own again and will give up Walt if he gets caught. Outside the room, Walt tells Saul that Jesse will eventually "come around", but Saul warns that they will have to discuss "options" for dealing with Jesse if he doesn't.
Later, Hank visits a mall purchasing gifts for Marie. As he's about to leave in his SUV, Hank receives a phone call in which an electronically disguised voice warns that he has one minute before two men show up to kill him. Hank, defenseless without his gun, scans the parking lot. After one minute passes, Leonel appears and shoots out the rear window, hitting Hank in the arm. Hank throws his SUV into reverse and pins Leonel against the car behind him. Marco, striding toward Hank's driver's-side window, fires multiple shots and hits Hank in the side as Hank grabs Leonel's gun and dives out of the car. Marco shifts Hank's car into drive, releasing Leonel. A badly wounded Leonel tells his brother to "finish him".
Marco strides back toward Hank, shooting a passerby along the way. As Marco reloads, Hank surprises him from behind and shoots him with Leonel's gun, unaware that he's wearing a bulletproof vest. Marco shoots Hank twice in the chest. After a badly injured Hank drops to the ground, Marco decides to use the axe to kill him. Hank grabs Leonel's gun and notices a "Black Death" bullet that Marco dropped on the ground. He fumbles reloading the gun as Marco returns. At the last possible moment, Hank fires the single round into Marco's head, killing him. The falling axe lodges itself in the pavement a few feet away from a bleeding Hank. The exhausted and severely wounded Hank then lowers his arm to the ground amidst the havoc caused by the confrontation.
Realizing the abnormal is still in the building with her, she calls for him, when suddenly the figure in the strange gear attacks her. When she asks who he is, the man, who uses a kind of teleportation ability, answers "Helen. You look beautiful" and kicks her to the ground.
She then makes a plan to trap Adam and creates protective gear for herself. She then returns to the roof (which is where the episode returns to the opening scene) and waits for him to follow her. After hiding for a few moments, she masks herself and attacks him, causing them both to fall of the edge of the roof. Before they hit the ground, they disappear in a subspace rift.
But first, before we get to that, the Ricky-Leaks episode opens with Spencer having a nightmare that involves hanging out with Ricky, Vernon (Donovan W. Carter), and Charles (Omar Benson Miller) while they are out jogging and doing the BRO thing. Spencer takes a minute to try and explain them some financial terms when his (sort of) nemesis Eddie George shows up and interrupts him. This throws Spencer off, and it ends up with him seeing the ground in front of him, open up into a giant chasm, with some, nice molten lava for a good touch.
When he gets into work at ASM he sits down with Joe (Rob Corddry) and Mr. Anderson (Richard Schiff) for a meeting with two women from another agency named IMG. They are there to go over the possibility of buying ASM since last week Anderson decided he wanted to sell so he could put the money towards the Las Vegas deal. Spencer pulls Joe, and Mr. Anderson aside and tries to convince Brett that he still thinks this is a bad idea. Especially to a company like IMG that he argues will not care about their clients they take on. Anderson stands his ground and tells Spencer he needs to get on board with him and Joe on this.
When Wayne is beaten into the ground, he is called by Oracle who says that all of the planes into Gotham have been rerouted except for one. It is freezing over and out of fuel. The pilot is requesting assistance.
Batman acknowledges the pilots request and rushes to defeat Freeze. Batman shows his limitations in his old age when he struggles to pull Freeze 2.0 to the ground. The pilot loses control of his cargo plane and he prepares for a crash landing near Batman. The Dark Knight is out of time.
On the ground, Freeze and Batman continue to fight as the plane crashes into the ground. Nightwing hits the ground with the pilot and immediately rushes to his mentor. Grayson, noticing that Batman is injured, tells him that it might be time to retire. Batman says that he'll never retire and the man continues after Freeze.
At Freeze 2.0's lab, he stumbles not too far before crashing on the ground. Fries crawls to a bed and states that he will cryogenically freeze himself. Then, the people of the future will wake him, so that he may reawake in a world without the Batman.
Suddenly, the Batman swoops down from one of the high buildings. Freeze screams with terror. The Batman couldn't have survived 1,000 years! The Dark Knight cracks the villain's glass yet again with the antifreeze solution. Freeze 2.0 falls to the ground, defeated.
At Eureka, Dr. Gupta tells Saanvi to unpack and that her discovery of the DNA anomaly is groundbreaking. She adds that she has something to show her. Saanvi watches as a crate with markings from the Vatican is moved in.
DOZIER: AND those refrigerators need to be assembled piece by piece at the bottom of a former gold mine a mile below ground? KREER: And what if I told you all the different pieces of this experiment are being built simultaneously by thousands of engineers and scientists all over the world?
The key to this age-old mystery could lie with neutrinos, elusive particles that flow all around us and (through us) by the trillions. Join Direct Current on a subatomic sojourn into the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE), a massive international research project aiming to unlock the secrets of the neutrino with help from more than 175 institutions in over 30 countries.
Pre-excavation work at the Sanford Underground Research Facility in Lead, South Dakota, began in early 2019. Check out photos and diagrams of the massive effort to remove 800,000 tons of rock from a mile below the surface to make room for the DUNE detectors.
For Mark Hanhardt, experiment support scientist at Sanford Underground Research Facility, teenage rebellion meant steering clear of motorcycles and mines and pursuing a career in astrophysics. (via Symmetry Magazine)
Directing and writing credits:Directed by Kenny Ortega, written by Amy Sherman-Palladino. Depending on your interests, you might know Ortega as the dude who directed "Hocus Pocus" or the famous choreographer who has worked on everything from "Dirty Dancing" to "High School Musical." Since I know nothing about dance, I was totally unaware of his impressive background. He's worked with everyone from Michael Jackson to Bette Midler and it's no wonder that the Palladinos decided to utilize his talents in this dance-centric episode.
Later, Hank visits a shopping mall, buying flowers for Marie. As he's about to get in his car, Hank receives a phone call. An electronically disguised voice warns him that he has one minute before two men show up to kill him. Hank, defenseless without his gun, scans the parking lot. After one minute passes, Leonel appears and shoots out the rear window, hitting Hank in the arm. Hank throws his SUV into reverse and pins Leonel between his rear bumper and the hood of a car parked behind him, crushing his legs. Marco then opens fire on Hank's car from the driver's side, hitting Hank in the hip as he grabs Leonel's gun and dives out the other side. Marco shifts Hank's car into drive, releasing Leonel. A badly wounded Leonel tells his brother to "finish him".
Marco strides back toward Hank, killing a passerby along the way and almost killing another woman, only failing because his gun has run out of bullets. As Marco reloads, he doesn't notice the Black Death bullet fall out of his pocket. As he continues to advance, Hank surprises him from behind and shoots him four times with Leonel's gun, unaware that he's wearing a bulletproof vest. Marco, still standing, shoots Hank twice in the chest. Hank falls to the ground, bleeding profusely. Marco walks up on him, points his pistol at Hank's head, but stops. He decides that shooting Hank in the head would be "too easy" after what he's done to Tuco and Leonel, so walks back to their car to retrieve his axe.
In the awkward aftermath of the disastrous dinner, Liam and Ben grow closer as do Cassie and Kevin, both duos commiserating over the holiday gone wrong. Walker has a tough talk with August, reluctantly taking on a harder stance with his son. As Thanksgiving on the ranch ends on a somber note, Abby quietly walks the grounds alone -- only to mysteriously collapse from an undisclosed ailment that could bring an even darker dimension to a season that's already dealt with some very dark themes.
So to get our listeners really the background on you and your career, I wanted to ask you how you went from creating the socket ball in college to CEO and co founder of this company, Uncharted Power. And tell us about that journey about how you created not just a soccer ball company, but really a technology company.
And so in the way that Google has provided amazing digital infrastructure, essentially for free, right? From Google Hangouts to Gmail, to Google Search, they figured out a way to monetize us based on their platform and to monetize data. What we do is we partner with these communities hand in hand, we do not own the land, we do not own the data or anything like that, but we've designed a technology that makes it easier to build and manage this sustainable power infrastructure, thinking about power and connectivity. And we're able to finance this, not by asking for increased payment for services, not by asking for higher taxes or for the cities to take on debt through bonds. But very specifically by monetizing co-location space in the ground, that's created from our panels and helping the communities monetize their own data in an ethical way to reduce the payback period on this infrastructure. And so I think I'm also very excited that what we're going to be demonstrating with this pilot is not just a technology, but a truly holistic business model that's necessary to bring anything new to market. 041b061a72
