This article explores how Nordic, Dutch and Vietnamese workplace cultures manage ego, authority and collaboration in different ways. Rather than framing the topic as individualism versus collectivism, the article looks at three low-ego systems: Nordic trust-based equality, Dutch pragmatic directness and Vietnamese relational harmony. It shows how global teams can turn cultural differences into stronger, more adaptive ways of working.

The 70-20-10 model is often regarded as a “golden formula” for capability development, but in practice, it is far more complex. Many organizations apply it mechanically, resulting in unfocused experiential learning, fragmented mentoring, and theory that is not applied. As a result, learners “know more but cannot do more.” This article analyzes common misconceptions and offers practical insights for more effective implementation in the context of education and businesses in Vietnam.

Mô hình 70-20-10 thường được xem là “công thức vàng” trong phát triển năng lực, nhưng thực tế không đơn giản như vậy. Nhiều tổ chức áp dụng máy móc khiến trải nghiệm thiếu định hướng, mentoring rời rạc và lý thuyết không được áp dụng. Kết quả là người học “học nhiều nhưng không làm được”. Bài viết sẽ tập trung phân tích những hiểu lầm phổ biến và gợi ý cách triển khai hiệu quả hơn trong bối cảnh giáo dục và doanh nghiệp Việt Nam.
